Former CBI Director Ranjit Sinha passes away at 68

Former Director of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Ranjit Sinha passed away on Friday morning. He was 68. 
 
"Sinha, a 1974 batch IPS officer, breathed his last at his residence here on Friday night around 4:00 am," a source said.
 
However, the source stated that the reason for his death remains unclear. 
 
Sinha was the CBI Chief from December 2012 till December 2014 and held various senior posts, including Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Director-General.
