HYDERABAD:

Aspirants appearing for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test, Post-Graduate (NEET-PG), on April 18 are currently facing a dilemma because of the rise in COVID-19 cases across the country.

Many students from Bengaluru and Mysore have been allocated test centres in Hyderabad, reducing the chances of many local students securing test centres in their hometowns.

The National Board of Examinations (NBE) began accepting applications for NEET-PG from February 23 to March 15.
The examination centres in Hyderabad were filled up in just a few hours, forcing students to either select districts or cities in neighbouring states.

Meanwhile, the NBE announced it would release the admission cards on April 12.

With rising COVID-19 cases across Telangana and other neighbouring states, aspirants are now in a state of anxiety as they will have to travel far amid the second wave of the pandemic.
