Prakesh Javedkar meets US envoy John Kerry in New Delhi

Kerry is visiting India as a part of his Asian Tour and, he will hold consultations on increasing climatic concerns in the Asian context.

NEW DELHI:

Union Minister for Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Prakesh Javedkar, met the US special presidential envoy to India, John Kerry, on Tuesday and discussed a wide range of issues, including climate change finance and joint research.

Kerry is visiting India as a part of his Asian Tour and, he will hold consultations on increasing climatic concerns in the Asian context.

Kerry is the second top official from the Biden administration to visit India this year.

Earlier in March, Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin visited India and discussed key issues on improving defence ties.

The US will hold a virtual summit on 'Climate Change' later this month and, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be among the 40 global leaders to participate in the event.
