What to do if your name is not included in the Complete Draft NRC?

GUWAHATI, July 3, 2018: NRC-National Register of Council is a register which contains the detail record of all Indian citizens. What if your name isn't included in the complete draft of NRC?

No need to panic here is what you can do;

#1. Applicants who do not find their names in the complete draft NRC will get another opportunity by way of submission of claims for inclusion in the final NRC.

#2. Opportunity will also be given to file objections against inclusion of any ineligible person.

#3. The Complete Draft NRC consisting of names of all applicants who are found eligible after due verification will be published shortly as per timelines stipulated by the Hon'ble Supreme Court.

#4. The process of Claims and Objections will commence after publication of Complete Draft NRC. Final NRC will be published only after disposal of all claims and objections.

#5. The entire process of NRC Update is being carried out meticulously in a fair and objective manner under close monitoring by the Supreme Court of India.

All genuine Indian citizens as per cut-off date of 24th March, 1971 (midnight), will be included in the final NRC.
