Tripura: Police seizes huge quantity of drugs from a house in Dhukli; accused peddler absconding

A huge quantity of drugs (banned morphine injections) was seized from a house located at Dhukli on Wednesday following a raid conducted by the Amtali Police station. The accused, however, escaped before the police reached his residence.

Acting on a tip off, an operation led by SDPO, Ajay Kumar Das along with staff of Amtali Police Station was launched and 1520 numbers of banned morphine injections were seized from the house of the accused identified as Pranab Kumar Das (40) located at Dhukli near Chandimata Club

While speaking to The North East Today- TNT over phone, one of the staff of Amtali Police Station said that the accused is absconding but "we will nab him soon. A case under section 22/24 26 (NDPS) has also been registered against him," he added.
