Wake up Call | Northeast India COVID Crisis

SHILLONG: 

A bitter reality! The healthcare systems in Northeast India are not up-to-the-mark as the Covid cases continue to rise.

While the death toll gets worse, testing and vaccination still remains dismal. Despite all efforts, things are slipping out of hand.

Though there is a sense of fear in the minds of people throughout, the main challenges are the demands for a mass vaccine drive, sanitisation, isolation facility, and stronger health infrastructure.

Here is the latest figures in Northeast: 

For now, Northeast India is lacking in all these categories. So needless to say, stay home and stay safe as we are singularly responsible and accountable for ourselves.
