Nagaland | State govt order for I-Day attendance

DIMAPUR | August 15, 2018:

The state government made it mandatory to attend the Independence Day celebrations to all the employees of Nagaland secretariat at Secretariat Plaza on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, in an order, the state home department directed all officers and staff of the secretariat to attend the celebrations as well as the evening programme. It also asked all the administrative heads of departments to take attendance of their respective staff and submit it for necessary action.

The supervisor of Nagaland civil secretariat has also been directed to take attendance for the grade IV staff.

The order said the secretariat staff buses would pick up the employees from their respective pick-up points by 8am.

 Dimapur deputy commissioner Sushil Kumar Patel on Tuesday also informed all the heads of departments/offices under Dimapur district that the attendance at the Independence Day function would be mandatory.

In a notification, Patel said attendance of all departmental officers and staff of the district would be taken at Dimapur District Sports Complex stadium at 9am and 4pm on Wednesday. He said the attendance sheet should be handed over to the Dimapur additional deputy commissioner.

The notification said all markers and shops will be closed till noon on the day.

As part of the security for the Independence Day celebrations at the stadium, Dimapur police said the entry point from Assam at New Field check gate would be sealed off and no vehicles would be allowed through the inter-state checkgate from 7am till the end of the programme.

In a press release, the police said the vehicles with "Z" (red) passes would be allowed entry inside the DDSC Stadium while cars with "Y" (green) passes would be allowed entry inside Tragopan point towards the stadium.

 

Entry from the Tragopan Point will be sealed off and only vehicles with passes will be allowed entry.
