Meghalaya | Unexploded WW-II bomb found in EKH

In a blast from the past, an unexploded bomb from World War II was discovered at a village in East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya.

The bomb was discovered by two farmers at Mawshubuit Nongrim on Saturday.

Police stated that around 11 am, Rosewell Nongkhlaw and Helius Kharkongor, were working in their paddy field when they saw something strange only to realize it was an explosive.

They added that the bomb was probably deployed from an aircraft during the Second World War.

The bomb has been handed over to the Meghalaya Police Bomb Squad for safe disposal.
