Assam: Four persons held in Green Park Colony robbery case

GUWAHATI | August 6, 2018: Four persons were apprehended by the Bharalumukh Police on 5th Augustin connection with the Maligaon Green Park Colony dacoity case from the house of one Suresh Poddar.

As per to reports, the caretaker-Mandal had admitted before the Police that he was the actual mastermind behind the robbery and had, in fact, led the robbers into the house.

He said that he led two of the robbers into the house in the evening time and later around midnight the other two robbers came inside the house.

The five of them looted all the valuables and tied up the caretaker as a part of the plan.

Earlier in the month of July dacoits had looted valuables items worth Rs 50 lakh on Sunday night from Green Park Colony of Maligaon area in Guwahati from businessman, Suresh Poddar's resident.

Ornaments worth Rs 7 lakh have been recovered out of Rs 12 lakh as claimed by the victim before the police.
