Union Minister assures central assistance for welfare of tribals in Tripura

Munda visited Tripura on Monday, and held discussions with Governor Ramesh Bais and Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on matters of welfare prospects of tribal people in the state.

Union Minister for Tribal Affairs, Arjun Munda, has assured that Tripura will get all possible assistance from the centre for the welfare of the tribal population in the state.


Munda visited Tripura on Monday, and held discussions with Governor Ramesh Bais and Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on matters of welfare prospects of tribal people in the state.


While interacting with media persons, the minister said that the financial, social, and regional balance of the indigenous people will be maintained with the help of the central plan. Their overall development is a priority for the central government.


While highlighting the vision of PM Narendra Modi for the overall development of the state, Munda said the centre will ensure quality education for tribal students for their upliftment.


For this, a total of 18 Ekalavya schools have been sanctioned for Tripura, and each school shall come up at a cost of Rs 48 crore.


Besides education, the centre will also offer assistance for skill development, entrepreneurship, and other schemes for the welfare of the tribals, Munda stated.
