Tripura: Vaccination drive in BSF camps commences

The Covid-19 vaccination drive in the Border Security Force (BSF) camps in Tripura kicked started on Thursday.

Inspector General (IG) of BSF Tripura Frontier Susanta Nath informed that 1532 positive cases were reported among the BSF jawans from various parts of Tripura.

He said that today, over a hundred COVID-19 warriors among the BSF will be vaccinated.

Notably, COVID-19 found its way into the BSF camps in Tripura not long after the coronavirus outbreak was reported in the state. The maximum covid positive cases among them were reported from Dhalai district.

A total of 4257 beneficiaries were vaccinated so far since January 16, out of 7829 targeted beneficiaries.
