Tripura Govt to outsource staff recruitment to private agencies

The Tripura Government is all set to outsource staff recruitment to private agencies, a press release stated.

A circular issued by the BJP-IPFT government on February 26 shortlisted five agencies that would supply staff to all government departments in Tripura, from group D to official level positions.

The third-party agencies would recruit staff on behalf of the government.

The five agencies include Visual Securus and Infotech Limited, Messrs. Support Services Pvt. Ltd, ARK Informatics Pvt. Ltd, and North East Securities.

Of these, Messrs. Support Services Pvt. Ltd is a Delhi based company, and the remaining four are from Agartala.

The agencies will pay the salaries of the people employed in the government offices and would receive a monthly commission based on the number of employees and salaries they provide.

The state government has decided to recruit seven types of workers through these agencies.

With the unemployment rate being high in Tripura, the step taken by the government has left the youths in complete disarray over the prospect of getting a government job in the future.
