Tripura govt issues fresh COVID-19 guidelines

AGARTALA:

Witnessing a surge in COVID-19 cases, the Tripura government on Thursday, issued new guidelines to be implemented with immediate effect across the state.

In this regard, The Chief Secretary has asked the District Magistrates, and Sub Division Magistrates to arrange miking facilities in their areas to announce about wear mask, maintain social distance and other covid norms. 

The Agartala Municipal Corporation and Other Urban Local Bodies will also have to be sanitised, including Offices, School and Colleges, on regular basis.

The order also states that any official meeting with proper social distancing norms, wearing masks, with not more than 20 participants.

Visitors will be allowed to enter government offices and residential offices, only with prior appointment.

Sporting events, competitions, gyms, recreation centres and others are to be stopped, as per the order.

The order also has called for Mask Enforcement Day to be observed every Saturday, and impose fines/penalties to defaulters as per the provisions of “The Tripura Epidemic Disease COVID-19 Regulations, 2020”.
