Tripura BJP launches music album for upcoming ADC election

Agartala: Tripura BJP state unit on Saturday launched five songs at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan for upcoming elections to the Autonomous District Council.

Produced by the MP of East Tripura constituency, Rebati Tripura and sung by different indigenous artists of the state, the songs were officially launched by Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma.

The CD or album was named “Khumulung Chini", a Kokborok (indigenous dialect) term which means ‘Khumulung is our’.

Khumulung is the headquarter of Autonomous District Council area.

Speaking on the occasion, Jishnu Debbarma said, "ADC was created to boost the cultural heritage of indigenous people of Tripura. It was one of the mottos in the formation of ADC in Tripura. Eyeing on this, BJP has created five Kokborok songs."

MP Rebati Tripura also said that the five songs are election-related.

"How Narendra Modi and Biplab Deb is working for the betterment of India as well as Tripura has been described in these five songs," he said.

BJP state president Manik Saha also attended the program with other state leaders.
