TIPRA welcomes new member, reiterates demand for 'Greater Tipraland
Tipraha Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance (TIPRA) Chairman Pradyot Kishore Deb Barman, on Thursday, welcomed MLA from Simna Constituency Brishaketu Debbarma into the party's fold, following his resignation from the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT).
Debbarma, who left IPFT for personal reasons, joined the alliance with over 650 members.
Reiterating his demand for '‘Greater Tipraland’, the TIPRA chief said a resolution to this effect would be sent to the governor of Tripura.
He also informed that the party had talked about ‘Greater Tipraland’ in the council session recently, after which Brishaketu Debbarma resigned.
