AGARTALA:

Only 54 per cent of the health care workers in Tripura took the COVID-19 vaccination in the last couple of days since January 16.

Mission Director of National Health Mission (NHM) Dr Siddharth Jaswal said that the news received from other countries may be the reason why people are sceptical to take the vaccine.

However, he assured that there has not been a single report of side effect these past three days.

Covid vaccination drive is continuing in Tripura following the specific guidelines issued by the Central Government. The Vaccination drive, across the State, will be done four days in a week – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

A total of 4257 beneficiaries were vaccinated so far since January 16, out of 7829 targeted beneficiaries.
