Alok Kumar appointed as new Chief Secretary of Tripura
After abruptly transferring the incumbent Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar as Special Chief Resident Commissioner of Tripura in New Delhi, the Tripura government has appointed Alok Kumar as its new Chief Secretary on Wednesday.
Alok, a 1990 batch IAS officer, is currently posted as Additional Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat in New Delhi. He is likely to join the new assignment next week. Before taking over in March last year, Alok was the Additional Chief Secretary of the Tripura government.
After joining as the Chief Secretary of Tripura, Alok Kumar will look after General Administrations (Confidential and Cabinet, Personnel and Training) and Home Department(IANS), an official notification issued on Tuesday night stated.
