10474 posts vacant in Tripura district council: Purna Chandra Jamatia

AGARTALA:

Following the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) session on December 20 at the TTAADC council bhawan, the chief executive member, Purna Chandra Jamatia, informed that about 10474 posts are vacant in various departments.

“Of the total 10474 vacancies in various departments under TTAADC, 33 vacancies are for sub-zonal officers and 290, for village secretaries. At present, temporary officers and secretaries are being appointed,” he said, adding that the initiative to fill the said vacancies will start once there are financial resources.

Also discussed in the second half of the session were four bills, namely Tripura District Council (TDC) Trade (License and Control) (First Amendment) Bill, 2021, TTAADC (Constitution, Election and Conduct of Business) (Twentieth Amendment) Bill, 2021, TTAADC Police Service Bill, 2021 and the TTAADC Village Committee (Conduct of Election) (Fourth Amendment) Bill, 2021, presented by Jagadish Debbarma, chairman of the council, who stated that the police bill needs to be discussed further.
