Nagaland’s Tsungchetrenla to coach the Indian women boxing team

DIMAPUR, August 7, 2017: In what may be termed as a morale boost to the boxing association of Nagaland, a boxing coach hailing from the state, Tsungchetrenla Tzudir has been selected to coach the youth India women' boxing team along with three other coaches.

Naga boxing coach Tsungchetrenla who is working for the department of Youth Resources and Sports, Kohima is also part of the India national boxing team which is preparing for the upcoming AIBA Youth Women World Boxing championships to be held at Guwahati in the month of November from 19 to 26 2017, informed a press note.

The 18 boxers, five coaches including Tsungchetrenla Tzudir, one Pysio and one masseur who left for Kazakhstan on July 24, 2017 for 14 days training cum competition from July 25 to August 7, 2017 have completed their tour of Kazakhstan with good competition between the two countries, where India team showed better performance and superiority, said the press release.

Pumped up with full of confidence and experience, the ten boxers with four coaches including Tsungchetrenla Tzudir from Nagaland is leaving for Serbia from Kazakhstan on August 8, 2017 to Serbia with the youth India women' boxing team for the 6th golden gloves of Vojvodina competition to b held at Serbia from August 9 to 13 August 2017 .

The 16 to 18 year olds will be competing in the biggest event of Europe and of their nascent careers, up against a formidable field of 200 boxers from 15 countries.
