Nagaland's Dimapur district archives 100 percent first dose Covid-19 vaccine coverage

Nagaland's Dimapur district has successfully achieved 100% coverage for the first dose of the Covid -19 vaccine in both urban and rural areas.

Informing this on November 9, Dimapur District Planning and Development Board chairman, Zhaleo Rio appreciated the members of the Dimapur District Task Force (DTF) for inoculating cent per population in their fight against Covid-19 pandemic.

Chairing the meeting of the board, he conveyed that the High Power Committee on Covid-19 during its meeting in Kohima had commented on the achievements made by Dimapur DTF, frontline workers, officers and all line departments for the successful vaccination drive in the district.

Rio  further  requested the DTF and the officers to motivate and educate the public on the benefits of vaccination to ensure that the public gets both doses of vaccination.

"Let us take this message as our official duty," Zhaleo urged.

Reviewing the last meeting minutes, the board recommended and approved the proposal for establishing a paramedical institute by Life Square Society at Neiphruolie Colony, Chumukedima village, based on the satisfactory joint verification report conducted by Seithekiema extra assistant commissioner, gaon burhas (village heads) and Dimapur chief medical officer.

It also approved the proposal for changing the nomenclature of Excel Children School to Dzuvian School.

The other agendas of the meeting included formation of district-level screening and verification committee for society registration cases, adoption of Vihokhu village as a model village, change of nomenclature of Logos School to Footprints Academy, and naming of the playground at Nihokhu extra assistant commissioner headquarters.
