Nagaland: Private vehicles plying illegally as local taxi banned in Kohima

KOHIMA:

Regional Transport Authority (RTA), Kohima has banned all private vehicles that are illegally plying as local taxis within Kohima, with immediate effect.

Regional Transport Officer Kohima SY Sanglee Chang said that the decision was taken during a meeting held on March 23.

They decided that the enforcing agencies, police and MV enforcement would penalise those illegal taxis found plying, as per provisions of the Motor Vehicle Act.

The fares of the city bus, local, regional and two-wheeler taxis will remain the same as pre-COVID-19 tariffs.
