Nagaland Peace Talks concluded: Guv RN Ravi

Nagaland Governor RN Ravi on Friday said negotiations between the Government of India (GoI) and the Naga groups over the decade-old issue have concluded.

“There is now a need for efforts to build on the substantial gains made so far, and to move swiftly for the final solution,” Eastmojo quoted the governor.

Ravi said that the only solution to the Naga political issue is the adoption of the seven-point resolution that was unanimously adopted on October 15 last year.

Naga Peace Accord was signed on August 3, 2015, by the Government of India and the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN-IM) to end the insurgency.

The seventh session of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) begins on Friday.

The budget for the year 2021-2022 will be presented on February 18, which would be taken up for consideration and passage on the last day of the session on February 20.
