Nagaland legislator Toshi Wungtung dies from Covid-19 related complications

Nagaland legislator and Advisor Toshi Wungtung passed away on Thursday morning in New Delhi. He was just 56.

MLA Toshi Wungtung was serving as an advisor to the Department of Information and Public Relations and State Council of Educational Research and Training.

It may be noted, Wungtung won the elections in 2018 from Shamator-Chessore Assembly Constituency on the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) ticket.

“A very sad day for us! My deepest condolences to the friends, family, and supporters of Advisor Shri Toshi Wungtung Ji. Deeply saddened by his passing. He was a compassionate leader whose farsightedness, kind words, and deeds affected numerous lives. May his soul rest in peace!,” tweeted Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton.'
