Nagaland CM Rio inaugurates Noklak as 12th district


KOHIMA: Nagaland Cheif Minister Neiphieu Rio on Wednesday officially inaugurated the 12th district of Nagaland - Noklak, at public ground Noklak headquarters.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony cum Khaozaosie-Hok-Ah festival( festival of the Khiamniungan tribe), Rio extended his best wishes to the people of the newly formed district.

"Grateful to God for the inaugural of Noklak district, the 12th district of #Nagaland. I convey my best wishes to the people of Noklak & wish them peace & good health. I hope they set a good example, have a competitive spirit & cooperate with the govt. for all round-development," tweeted Rio after the function.

"Happy Khaozaosie-Hok-Ah to the Khiamniungan community. May the festival of thanksgiving usher in a prosperous year and may the Almighty help you triumph over adversities," he tweeted.

Other leaders present at the function were, deputy chief minister Y. Patton, advisor L.Khumo, advisor H.Haiying and other officials.

On this day, the Nagaland Chief Minister also inaugurated the office of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), Noklak region.

"Congratulations to all rank and file of the Party. I hope they continue to work faithfully to bring about positive change and progressive development for the welfare of all sections of people," he tweeted.
