Nagaland: Bye-election for 51-Noksen Assembly Constituency to be held on April 17

The bye-election to the 51-Noksen Assembly Constituency under Tuensang district of Nagaland will be held on April 17.

Election Commission of India (ECI) undersecretary Sanjeev Kumar Prasad on March 16 said that the gazette notification would be issued on March 23.

The last date of nomination is March 30.

Scrutiny of nominations would be done on March 31, while the last date for withdrawal of candidature is April 3.

Polling will be on April 17 while counting will be held on May 2.

The 51-Noksen seat in the State had been vacant following the demise of the sitting Minister for Environment, Forest & Climate Change and Justice & Law, C M Chang on October 12 last year in Kohima.
