KOHIMA:

The badminton stadium in Nagaland’s Tuensang district recently got a facelift through an initiative undertaken by the district administration, said the president of the Tuensang District Badminton Association (TDBA), Rongsenkunzuk.

“The contribution of the head of departments and the support of district administration and Bedi Bachao Bedi Padhao has made the programme successful,” Rongsenkunzuk said.

However, he stated that because of financial constraints, they could only renovate the front portion of the stadium next to the parade ground where important events usually take place.

“Provided with more funds, the interior of the stadium can be carpeted,” he added.

Rongsenkunzuk also urged players and citizens to keep the stadium clean.

We may note that Tuensang district is one of the oldest districts in Nagaland.
