Lockdown in Nagaland extended till June 11

The decision was taken after a High Powered Committee (HPC) COVID- 19 review meeting held on Friday following the advisory issued by the state's Health Department.

The Government of Nagaland on Friday extended the ongoing lockdown in the state till June 11 given the rise in COVID-19 cases.

The decision was taken after a High Powered Committee (HPC) COVID- 19 review meeting held on Friday following the advisory issued by the state's Health Department.

HPC spokesperson Mmhonlumo Kikon made the announcement and said, “The High Power Committee, GON, has decided to extend the Lockdown in Nagaland till June 11, 2021, on the basis of the advisory given by the Health & Family Welfare Department.”

It may be mentioned that the ongoing lockdown in the state was supposed to end on May 31 (Monday).
