Mizoram student allegedly kills self at Zoram Medical College

AIZAWL:

A medical student allegedly took his own life at his hostel room in Zoram Medical College, Mizoram on Wednesday.

According to media reports, the student was reportedly disturbed by his academic performance.

The deceased has been identified as Nazar Chakma, a resident of Chawngte village in Lawngtlai district.

He was a first-year student of MBBS at Zoram Medical College, about 16 kms from the capital city of Aizawl.

His professors and classmates left the University this evening around 4:00 PM with his body and right now they are on their way to his hometown.
