Mizoram: Pu Durjya Dhan Chakma sworn-in as CADC CEM 

Chakma was appointed the new CEM by the Governor of Mizoram following the resignation tendered by Pu Rasik Mohan Chakma on March 29.

Elected MDC of Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC), Pu Durjya Dhan Chakma was sworn in as the new Chief Executive Member (CEM) at Kamalanagar in Mizoram, on April 6. 

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Lawngtlai District Pi Marilyn Rualzakhumthangi administered the oath of office and secrecy.

Chakma was appointed the new CEM by the Governor of Mizoram following the resignation tendered by Pu Rasik Mohan Chakma on March 29. 

Chakma is the third CEM of this 10th CADC. He contested the CADC General Election held in 2018 with an MNF ticket and was elected from 5-Kamalanagar North. 

The new CEM has announced the name of four MDCs, namely Pu Hiranand Tongchangya, Pu Bhuban Kumar Chakma, Pu Uday Tongchangya and Pu Sanjiv Chakma to be inducted in his Executive Committee. There are seven Executive Members in all.
