Assam Rifles recover areca nuts worth Rs 97 lakh in Mizoram

IMPHAL:
Troops of Assam Rifles on Wednesday recovered 34 tons of illegal areca nuts worth about Rs 97 lakh in Mizoram.
Assam Rifles intercepted three trucks and recovered the areca nuts at Old Hruaikawn village at Champhai district.
Carriers and recovered items have been handed over to the Customs department.
