Meghalaya CM denies allegation of scam in disbursement of financial aid to daily wage earners 

 The CM clarified that the remaining transaction is still under process where names and personal details of the beneficiaries are being verified before transferring the money.

SHILLONG: 

After the sit-in demonstration by social activist Angela Rangad in front of the main gate of the secretariat to demand the release of the pending financial assistance to daily wage labourers affected by Covid - 19 pandemic, entered the sixth day on Tuesday, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma responded to her agitation stating that "protesting in front of the secretariat is not permissible for security reasons." 

As far as the financial aid is concerned, Sangma denied allegations of a scam in the disbursement of financial aid to the daily wage earners, clarifying that the remaining transaction is still under process where names and personal details of the beneficiaries are being verified before transferring the money.
