SHILLONG:

Residents of Lumshyiap in Shillong on Saturday expressed concerns over the new site proposed for teer (archery) activities under the Syiem (Chieftain) of Hima Mylliem.

The proposed site, that has not started any activity as yet, belongs to the Hima Mylliem. The residents are concerned about the nature of the activities that will be held on a regular basis.

According to them, it would not be healthy for the young people and would attract more unwanted activities to this part of the locality since it is already known for many anti-social activities. The site is surrounded by major residential areas of Mawroh, Mawpat and Shyiap of Shillong.
