Meghalaya: Service to humanity in time of COVID-19 at Ri-Bhoi

This initiative of the RBYF has come after, witnessing that most of the citizens of Ri Bhoi district has been in the state of tribulation since the sharp rise of COVID-19 cases

‘Service to man is Service to God’, this has been exemplified by the members of the Ri-Bhoi Youth Federation (RBYF) who have come forward to support the government in containing the spread of COVID-19, by contributing one ambulance to cater to the need of the people in the District.

This initiative of the RBYF has come after, witnessing that most of the citizens of Ri Bhoi district has been in the state of tribulation since the sharp rise of COVID-19 cases in the state that led to the unavailability of ambulances to ferry patients from different parts of the district to reach health care centres.

The ambulance contributed by the RBYF, is also equipped with Oxygen cylinder that can also help patients who need oxygen while ferrying to any health care centre, the ambulance was dedicated today to public service by the local legislator of Umsning AC Jason Mawlong in the presence of the Deputy Commissioner RM Kurbah, DMHO Dr. M Mawrie among others.

Addressing the gathering, legislator Jason Mawlong, lauded the efforts of the RBYF leaders for coming forward during this crisis to lend their support by contributing the ambulance to cater to the needs of the people of the district especially during the crisis of COVID-19.
