SHILLONG: 

After BJP MLA Sanbor Shullai was sworn in as a minister in the Conrad Sangma-led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) government on Tuesday, former Health Minister and BJP leader AL Hek visited Shullai at his residence in Laban, Shillong and congratulated him on being inducted as a new minister.

Sanbor Shullai said that as a party, the members are constantly working towards strengthening the party in the state. He also said that he would be working closely with the former health minister during the remaining years of the MDA government. 

AL Hek, on the other hand, said that as BJP members, they both understood the situation since the beginning and that the decision was taken up by the party and any directives provided, as party members, they would have to accept it.
