NONGPOH:

The Ri-Bhoi Deputy Commissioner RM Kurbah has made an appeal to the public that if anyone is found positive, he/she is requested to co-operate with the medical team by sharing genuine details during contact tracing.

Speaking to mediapersons, the Deputy Commissioner said the administration has been receiving information that most of the positive patients have not cooperated with the medical team in revealing their contacts (high risk).

Kurbah informed the case has occurred in many parts of the district where it was found that positive patients are not revealing their high-risk contacts and most of these have been freely roaming around.

However, the DC shared that in order to contain community spread, genuine sharing of information with concerned authorities is required for proper execution of containment measures and to break the chain of infection and all High Risk Contacts are requested to come forward for testing because of the probable ratio of one positive case can spread to 30 new cases.
