Ri-Bhoi district administration charts multi-pronged strategy to counter COVID
In view of the surging cases and deaths because of COVID-19 and considering the possibility of a third wave that may hit children, the Ri-Bhoi district administration is charting a multi-pronged strategy to contain the spread of the virus.
Deputy Commissioner Ri Bhoi District R.M Kurbah stressed on the need to give effort in safeguarding the well-being of children by spreading awareness to all parents, guardians, elderly members in the family and the society on the reality of the virus and the availability of preventive measures for containing the spread of COVID-19.
The Deputy Commissioner has also appealed to all Principals and educators of institutions within the District to lend their support in educating the children on following health related protocols as prevention and the vaccination for eligible age groups.
It may mentioned awareness can be covered by having a specific Lesson Plan, Parent-Student Joint Assignment on Covid Family Preparedness Plan and Covid Vaccination Oriented On-line Question and Answer session with the students.
Appeals to all teachers to assist the Headman in the preparation of the Community Covid Elimination Plan and to gear up with innovative strategies on COVID-19 and its important preventive measures.
