Meghalaya: Oxygen and medical supplies for state arrive in Guwahati

The equipments were air-lifted by the Indian Air Force - Media-Co-ordination centre from Vizag in Andhra Pradesh.

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Saturday informed that numerous oxygen ventilators, cylinders and concentrators meant for the state, has arrived in Guwahati on Saturday. 

The equipments were air-lifted by the Indian Air Force - Media-Co-ordination centre from Vizag in Andhra Pradesh.

"20 Oxygen Ventilators, 15 Concentrators and 30 Oxygen Cylinders meant for Meghalaya, were airlifted by @IAF_MCC from Vizag and have touched down at Guwahati, and are on their way to Shillong," CM Sangma tweeted.

Earlier, Conrad Sangma had assured that the COVID care centres in the State will be equipped with oxygen cylinders and concentrators to cater to the needs of COVID-19 patients.

Meanwhile, the number of active cases registered in the State stands at 8055, while the total death toll is 512.
