National Institute of Technology Meghalaya observes Institute Day

The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Meghalaya celebrated its “Institute Day” at the campus on April 1.

The event was postponed last year because of the outbreak of coronavirus. However, this year it was held with strict compliance as per the protocol issued by the government. 

The event kicked off with the inaugural song and flag hoisting, followed by the speech of NIT Director Prof. B.B. Biswal and Chairman of the Board of Governors (BOG) S. Bhajanka.

Awards were also distributed to faculty members, staff, and students for their extraordinary contribution to various subjects and achievements. 

Former Director of NIT Rourkela Prof. S.K. Sarangi spoke about the implementation of administrative and academic policies across the institutions. 

The event was also attended by the Dean’s, Heads of departments, Senate and BOG members, faculty members, staff and students.
