Naga research scholars lend support to COVID affected families in Shillong
The forum extended its appreciation to the tireless efforts and the sacrifices of the Dorbar Shnong (traditional body) to support the families in the best way possible.
SHILLONG:
In a bit to contribute towards the families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Naga Research Scholars' Forum (NRSF) in Shillong donated Rs 20,000 to the Dorbar Shnong of Umshing-Mawkynroh as financial aid to support the affected families.
The forum extended its appreciation to the tireless efforts and the sacrifices of the Dorbar Shnong (traditional body) to support the families in the best way possible.
The amount was handed by the forum members to L. Nongkhlaw, the Rangbah Shnong (Headman) of Umshing-Mawkynroh.
"This venture of the forum is an initiative that is driven by an inclination to do our bit towards mitigating the effects of the pandemic," the forum said.
"We thank all the Naga research scholars whose immense contribution has made this drive successful, and we also encourage everyone to do the same," the forum added.
