Meghalaya registers 229 fresh COVID-19 cases, two fatalities and 166 recoveries

According to health officials, the total number of COVID-related deaths now stands at 171, active cases at 1,592 and 15,083 recoveries.

The northeastern state of Meghalaya on Friday registered 229 fresh COVID-19 cases, two fatalities and 166 recoveries.
According to health officials, the total number of COVID-related deaths now stands at 171, active cases at 1,592 and 15,083 recoveries.
Of the 1,592 active cases, 1,072 are in East Khasi Hills district, 101 in West Jaintia Hills, 164 in Ri Bhoi, 40 in West Khasi Hills, 80 in East Jaintia Hills, 70 in West Garo Hills, 17 in South West Khasi Hills, 20 in East Garo Hills, 11 in North Garo Hills, 12 in South Garo Hills and five in South West Garo Hills district.
