SHILLONG:

Citing instances of infighting within the Congres party in Meghalaya and other states, cabinet Minister Prestone Tynsong has dubbed Congress as a “broken family”.

“See what is happening to Congress in Delhi, Punjab and some other states. As of now, the Congress party, be it the high command or state command, they are totally messed up,” he said.

As for the attempt of Congress chief, Vincent Pala to approach former leaders, Tynsong said that it is the duty of a chief to approach the leaders who left the party. When asked if he was approached, Tynsong replied in negative and said, “I saw in the newspaper and that itself is an invitation.”

Tynsong however, asserted that he will not go back to the party.
