Meghalaya Police warns against those ‘spreading misinformation on vaccination’

The SP office has in this regard issued a press release advising the general public not to spread any misinformation regarding the vaccination through any medium.

SHILLONG:

Following the Meghalaya High Court order that vaccination is the need of the hour in the fight against the COVID-19 virus, the Superintendent of Police (SP), East Kasi Hills District has warned the public or organisations involved in spreading misinformation about the efficacy of the vaccine.

The SP office has in this regard issued a press release advising the general public not to spread any misinformation regarding the vaccination through any medium.

In case any person or organisation is found committing such an act, legal action will be taken against them as per the law, the SP of East Khasi Hills District, S Nongtnger informed.

The public have also been advised to report such instances to the court or the nearest police station.
