Meghalaya: One dies as truck capsizes due to brake failure at Mawblei
According to the police, at around 5 am, a wooden plank-loaded truck, bearing the registration number - AS-01 DC 8200, was on its way to Assam from Jowai in West Jaintia Hills, when the accident occurred.

One person died while another sustained injuries after their vehicle capsized due to brake failure at Mawblei in Shillong on Friday.
According to the police, at around 5 am, a wooden plank-loaded truck, bearing the registration number - AS-01 DC 8200, was on its way to Assam from Jowai in West Jaintia Hills, when the accident occurred.
The truck driver (Boro-more details awaited) got stuck when the truck capsized and died inside the vehicle. The helper, Denish Khirai, escaped with minor injuries.
The deceased was a resident of Morogaun in Assam.
