Meghalaya: Meetings, public gatherings prohibited in EKH amid COVID-19 surge

According to the prohibitory order issued on Tuesday, citizens may obtain permission for weddings and funerals from the DC’s Office in Shillong.

SHILLONG:

The Deputy Commissioner of Meghalaya’s East Khasi Hills district has prohibited meetings, training, or public gatherings of any kind from taking place until further notice.


According to the prohibitory order issued on Tuesday, citizens may obtain permission for weddings and funerals from the DC’s Office in Shillong.


Citizens may also submit their applications online at dcofficeshillong@gmail.com, dc-ekh-meg@nic.in or directly to the Deputy Commissioner’s Office.


Applications will be processed within two days and will be sent to the email ID provided by the applicant.


Applicants can also obtain permission from the Public Facilitation Centre at the DC’s Office.
