Meghalaya: Khliehriat district administration to organise rally on safe driving habits

KHLIEHRIAT:

The Khliehriat District Legal Services Authority, in collaboration with the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, including the Office of the Superintendent of Police and the District Transport Officer, will organise a rally on safe driving habits on March 13.

The rally aims to create awareness about safe driving habits and to encourage the public to adhere to the Amended Motor Vehicle Act at all times.

The rally will start from Mookhep at 8:00 am to Byndihati and would conclude at Khliehriat Higher Secondary School.

The participants include the Jaintia Cycling Forum (Jowai), Riders Tribe (Rymbai), Tuber Bikers & Tours Association (Tuber), EJAMSA (Khliehriat), Cement Plants (East Jaiñtia Hills District), Lad Rymbai Indica Association, East Jaiñtia Taxi Owner & Driver Association, East Jaiñtia District Tourist Taxi Association and Friends Ride (Jowai).

There will be a free eye check-up camp organised by the District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO), including a slogan writing and essay writing competition for students followed by a programme that will feature various artists from the district.
