Meghalaya: Hailstorm wreaks havoc in Tura

TURA:

A hailstorm caused substantial damage to houses and properties in Tura, West Garo Hills, on Thursday evening.

According to sources, the aftermath of the storm resulted in roadblocks and other damages.

The disaster management team is working to clear the roads and the debris

Meanwhile, the public has been advised to reach out to the Block Development Officers (BDOs) for assistance.

The district administration has also informed that necessary compensation would be provided to all affected families as per the SDRF norms.
