Meghalaya govt directs officials & staff of 14 Directorates to work from home

SHILLONG:

The Meghalaya government, on April 19, issued a notification directing officials and staff of 14 Directorates to work from home and be available on call.

These include the Directorate of Arts and Culture, Controller of Legal Metrology, Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Directorate of Education Research and Training, Directorate of Housing, Chief Inspector of Boilers and Factories, Directorate of Printing and Stationery, Directorate of Program Implementation and Evaluation, Directorate of Sericulture and Weaving, Directorate of Small Savings, Directorate of Sainik Welfare, Directorate of State Lotteries and Commandant Civil Task Force.

"All other Directorates shall function at 100 per cent attendance for Group A and B officers and 50 per cent strength for Group C and Group D staff," the notification read. 

This order shall come into force with immediate effect and until further orders.
