Meghalaya Governor felicitates NCC cadets at Raj Bhavan
The National Cadet Corps held a felicitation ceremony at Raj Bhavan on November 28.
To recognise the efforts of the NCC Cadets, who have been at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19, Meghalaya Governor, Satya Pal Malik felicitated selected cadets and Associate NCC Officers.
The ceremony started by an introductory speech by the ADG, NCC Directorate NER Maj Gen Ananta Bhuyan, SM who informed the audience about the NCC activities carried out by the cadets of the Directorate this year and the plans of expansion in the border areas. He also thanked the state government for their support to facilitate NCC activities in the state.
Meghalaya Governor also presented certificates to the cadets and Associate NCC Officers appreciating their efforts in nation building and in conducting various social activities.
He stressed upon the contribution of the NCC towards National Integration and in grooming disciplined and patriotic youth.
