Meghalaya | Golflinks assault case: Eight persons arrested
One of the victims, Phershanroy Myrthong succumbed to his injuries on March 28.

SHILLONG:
The Special Investigation Team (SIT), set up to probe into the Golflinks assault case, arrested eight persons on Friday, April 9.
It may be recalled that three persons were assaulted on March 21 at Golflinks. One of the victims, Phershanroy Myrthong succumbed to his injuries on March 28.
Following the assault, the SIT was constituted and headed by Superintendent of Police (City), Vivek Syiem.
In a statement issued here, Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills, S. Nongtnger said, “The SIT has arrested 8 persons involved in the case. They will be taken into custody for ascertaining more facts into the case.”
