Meghalaya: Exams for remaining HSSLC papers stand cancelled; Class XII results likely before July 31

Meghalaya Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui, on Wednesday, informed that the examination for the four remaining papers of the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) stands cancelled, and marking will be done as per the parameters of the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE).

Speaking to media persons in Shillong, Rymbui said these four papers include Western Music, Computer Science, Statistics and Vocational studies. 

Furthermore, he informed that the exams for those students who missed both the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) and HSSLC examinations due to COVID-related problems will be re-conducted in mid-July. 

According to him, there are a total of 15 students who missed all papers in HSSLC exams, and 34 students missed all the papers in SSLC exams. 

As many as 74 students missed some papers in SSLC exams and for Class XII, 92 missed some papers or others. 

The Education Minister also informed that the results of the Class XII board exams will be declared before July 31. 

"For declaration of the SSLC results, we still have to wait and see," he said.
